The company announced Thursday that its Korean sales representative, Samsung Corp., has placed another follow-on order for IDC's FlexRoute digital audio equipment.
The equipment is being supplied to Korea Telecom/LG to expand a nationwide satellite network project of the Korean government. This order increases the size of the network by 295 sites, first announced in February 1999, and marks the beginning of a third phase of network expansion throughout Korea.
"This is an important order for us," says Ron Clifton, IDC president and CEO. "Our SuperFlex DVB/IP broadband products are getting a lot of attention these days, but this underscores that we also continue to provide the finest digital audio broadcasting systems as well."
Financial terms were not released.
